Overview

We’re looking for a Data Platform Engineer to join one of our Data Platform teams. You’ll design, build, and maintain modern enterprise data platforms that enable scalable data integration, analytics, and AI solutions. You’ll work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, BI Developers, Solution Architects, and DevOps teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing data platform capabilities across cloud and hybrid environments.

Requirements

Data platform & solution design

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise data platform solutions supporting analytics, reporting, and AI workloads.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects and technical teams to define scalable platform architectures.
  • Evaluate and recommend platform technologies, services, and best practices.
  • Design secure, resilient, and scalable data platform environments.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Contribute to platform modernization initiatives and cloud migration projects.

Data platform & infrastructure

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud-based and hybrid data platform services.
  • Manage platform resources to ensure availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Support storage, compute, networking, and security configurations for enterprise data platforms.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate platform provisioning and configuration.
  • Optimize platform performance, resource utilization, and operational costs.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and cloud teams to maintain stable environments.

Data integration & data services

  • Enable reliable data ingestion, storage, processing, and distribution across enterprise platforms.
  • Support Data Engineering teams by providing scalable platform capabilities and integration services.
  • Configure and optimize data processing environments for ETL/ELT workloads.
  • Ensure platform services support high-performance analytics and reporting solutions.
  • Collaborate on platform integration with enterprise applications and cloud services.
  • Support adoption of modern data architecture patterns.

Platform reliability & operations

  • Monitor platform health, availability, and performance.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, logging, and operational dashboards.
  • Investigate platform incidents and perform root cause analysis.
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
  • Implement security, access control, and compliance standards across the platform.
  • Drive continuous improvement of platform reliability and operational excellence.

Automation & DevOps

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and infrastructure.
  • Automate platform deployment, configuration, and operational processes.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using modern automation tools.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve deployment consistency and release quality.
  • Support version control, environment management, and release automation.
  • Promote automation and platform engineering best practices.

Desired profile

Must-have

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in Data Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Data Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Good understanding of modern data platform architectures and cloud-native services.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or similar).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development.
  • Knowledge of SQL and enterprise database technologies.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized workloads.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus, or Splunk.
  • Experience supporting AI and Machine Learning platforms.
  • Experience in Banking, Retail, Insurance, or Telco industries.
  • Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Snowflake, or Databricks certifications.
