Overview

We’re looking for a Java Developer to join one of our Software Engineering teams. You’ll design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using modern Java technologies. You’ll work closely with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing software solutions that support critical business processes.

Requirements

Software develomnet & solution design

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and modern software engineering practices.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into scalable software solutions.
  • Develop clean, reusable, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices.
  • Participate in technical design and architecture discussions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions.

Backend development & integration

  • Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
  • Design and implement business logic supporting enterprise applications.
  • Integrate applications with databases, messaging platforms, and third-party services.
  • Develop secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Build scalable microservices and distributed systems.
  • Ensure application reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

Data & persistence

  • Develop efficient data access layers using JPA, Hibernate, or similar frameworks.
  • Design and optimize SQL queries and database interactions.
  • Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and application performance.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering and integration teams where needed.
  • Support database optimization and maintenance initiatives.

Testing, deployment & DevOps

  • Develop unit, integration, and automated tests.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with QA teams during testing and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
  • Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of software development processes.

Cloud & modern architectures

  • Develop cloud-ready applications using Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Design and support microservices and event-driven architectures.
  • Work with containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve deployment automation and operational reliability.
  • Implement secure development practices and performance optimization techniques.
  • Stay up to date with modern Java technologies and engineering trends.

Desired profile

Must-have

  • University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Java software development.
  • Strong knowledge of Java (Java 17+ preferred).
  • Experience with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework ecosystem.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience with JPA, Hibernate, or similar persistence frameworks.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
  • Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Spring Cloud, Spring Security, or Spring Batch.
  • Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging platforms.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis.
  • Experience working in Banking, Retail, Insurance, or Telco industries.
  • Oracle Java, Spring, AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes certifications.
